Swedish sideboard from the 1960s, made of oak and produced by Skaraborgs Möbelindustri of Tibro. It features three doors, three upper drawers with recessed pulls and internal compartments with shelves. Original manufacturer’s label present. Swedish oak sideboard from the 1960s, produced by Skaraborgs Möbelindustri, a furniture manufacturer founded in 1938 in Tibro, an important centre of Swedish furniture production. The structure is organized according to a precise division of the façade: three framed doors are surmounted by three drawers, each characterized by a small circular pull recessed directly into the front. Inside, the compartments are fitted with shelves, while one of the drawers features a series of internal dividers. The cabinet is raised on four straight, slightly tapered legs, while the top is bordered along the sides and back by a subtle raised edge. The design reflects the restrained approach characteristic of Swedish furniture of the period, relying on proportions, construction and the continuity of the oak surfaces to define the character of the piece. The integrated pulls and subtly framed fronts introduce discreet details without interrupting the geometry of the cabinet. The original Skaraborgs Möbelindustri, Tibro label, preserved on the piece, documents its manufacture. Good condition. It may show signs of age. Please pay attention to the photographs. AG477.
