19th century rectangular carved gilded wood mirror

An exceptional late 19th-century giltwood mirror. It is a lovely size. It is a very charming piece, with its frame decorated with a frieze of ova and a row of pearls. The lines are pure and rectangular; this mirror can be hung either portrait, vertical, or horizontally in landscape format. It exudes a certain sobriety and, at the same time, a presence that is further accentuated by the thickness of the frame. It exudes history, as it appears at first glance to be authentic, with marvelous woodwork and remarkable solidity. It is probably antique, designed before the fashion for stucco invaded mirror design in the mid-19th century. It is therefore most likely earlier. The mirror is in perfect condition (it has probably been replaced).
