It is believed to have been manufactured in a Lorraine factory and then distributed by a trading house under the brand "La Française". Its Ibéria decoration, featuring frieze patterns with Hispanic inspiration, reflects the taste for exoticism and Mediterranean influences that were very fashionable around 1900.
