Designed by Ingmar Relling in the 1960s, the Siesta chair has become one of the iconic pieces of Norwegian design. Its laminated wood structure and flexible base provide remarkable comfort while maintaining a light and streamlined silhouette. Its slightly inclined seat offers a resting position suitable for both reading and conversation. This example comes with its matching ottoman. The original cushions are made of dyed black leather. This piece shows signs of use, creases, abrasions, and a patina developed over time. Some aesthetic imperfections are also visible, reflecting the age and normal use of the set.
