French work, c.1970. 160 X 160 cm. Wool. Good condition. A square of wool with a concentric pattern, the frames narrowing towards the centre, in a range of browns and oranges without tonal breaks. The warm monochrome concentric pattern was widely circulated in the seventies and eighties, from Scandinavian editions to French designer rugs, as well as contemporary North African crafts. Designer and publisher to be confirmed. Good condition. The piece is sold alone.
