Italy, 1950s–60s. This large sideboard by Umberto Mascagni for Harrods London, sold with its original matching mirror, is a beautiful example of mid-century Italian design. It combines decorative character with balanced and streamlined proportions. The sideboard features glass doors decorated with figurative patterns. Additionally, the lacquered wood in a soft green hue and refined brass details frame the composition. A central section of drawers provides both symmetry and practical storage space. The slender, tapered legs give the piece a light and elegant presence, despite its generous size. The glass top protects the surface while highlighting the clean lines.
