Extensible table in Danish rosewood from the 1950s, designed by Niels Otto Møller and manufactured by Gudme Møbelfabrik in the 1960s, showcasing the elegance and craftsmanship characteristic of Scandinavian modern design. The tabletop measures 104 cm wide and 162 cm long, and when fully extended, it measures 230 cm long. The length with an inner leaf is 211 cm, and the table has a height of 74 cm. The table is made of richly grained rosewood, highlighting deep tones and beautifully decorated veneer that emphasises the natural beauty of the material. The table features two inner leaves. The veneer harmonises perfectly with the wood pattern on two sides but presents a slightly lighter colour. Each part of the tabletop has a carefully shaped solid rosewood moulding. The table has been renovated. The surface has been carefully refinished with new layers of satin varnish, revealing the depth of the rosewood grain. The extension mechanism has been checked and works correctly. The original manufacturer's label is preserved on the underside. This piece remains in excellent vintage condition with absolutely minor signs of use.
