PH 4/3 Pendant Lamp, designed by Poul Henningsen, Louis Poulsen, Denmark, 1960s

The PH 4/3 pendant lamp was designed by Poul Henningsen for the Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen. The model was introduced in 1966 and is an extension of the iconic PH lighting system, the first version of which was designed by Henningsen in 1929. The original design won the highest award at the World Exhibition in Barcelona, becoming one of the most significant achievements in the history of contemporary lighting design. The PH 4/3 model is based on a characteristic three-shade system using a logarithmic spiral. This construction allows light to be evenly diffused, while the light source remains shielded, providing soft, comfortable, and non-glaring illumination. Its simple, timeless form makes the lamp a perfect fit for modernist, Scandinavian, and contemporary interiors. This example was produced in Denmark in the 1960s and is in perfect condition. The wiring has been replaced with new, ensuring it is fully functional and ready for use. It is designed for an E27 bulb with a maximum wattage of 60 W.
