Provençal basket made of coconut fiber

Nyons basket or Provençal terracotta serving basket; perfect for keeping your food warm. Ideal for a 24x25 cm dish, 4 cm high. This handcrafted basket is made from coconut fiber, a fiber formerly used for making Scourtin mats. 🌺 Scourtin mats were originally used to filter olive oil. Today, coconut fiber is used to create art objects. A beautiful repurposing for the last remaining Scourtin maker in Nyons, Provence.
