Designed in 1928, the LC chair family has left its mark on design history. Designers Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, and Pierre Jeanneret created an armchair that perfectly embodies the rationalism characteristic of modern design. Produced by Cassina, the Grand Confort LC3 armchair consists of four independent cushions that form the seat, backrest, and armrests. The cushions are simply placed within the tubular steel frame, fitting together perfectly. Timeless, Le Corbusier armchairs are as famous as they are comfortable, transcending generations without ever going out of style. Designed to allow for comfortable conversation, this armchair was exhibited at the Salon d'Automne in Paris in 1929, embodying the archetype of modern furniture, which its creators understood as belonging to the realm of "household equipment."
