Old painting, landscape of Brittany, signed and dated 1904

Very beautiful painting, watercolor on paper, in a glazed wooden frame, representing a group of typical houses of Brittany. It is signed lower right. Joseph forgé dated 1904, and with a dedication to Madame Bayou souvenir de Crozon. Joseph forgé is a painter, born in Auray, on March 18, 1853, one of whose specialties was landscape watercolors. Here, the watercolor is very well done, and we notice the dexterity of the painter by his choice of colors and his execution technique, making this landscape lively. It has a mat in blue-gray tones with a wooden frame black on the edges and brown in the interior. Condition: considering its age it is in very good condition, except for a small hole the size of a pin in the milky white sky and a small brown stain. This does not detract from the quality, which is the beauty of this painting because it blends into the sky (see the many photos). Frame size: width 62 cm, height 49 cm. Watercolor size: width 44 cm, height 31 cm. Do not choose delivery to a parcel locker relay, as the package does not fit in the lockers.
