The sofas feature generous black leather cushions resting within a slender chrome-plated steel frame. Curved corners soften the precise metal construction, while the low proportions give the sofa a calm architectural presence. Brüning established his architecture and design studio in Stuttgart in 1963, where he came into contact with Kill International and designers Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm.
