Vintage Rattan and Cane Dining Room

This set is a fantastic example of vintage chic bohemian style or organic modernism, more specifically a dining suite made of curved rattan and bamboo. While the curved silhouettes pay homage to classic bentwood café chairs "Thonet, " the materials firmly anchor it in the 1970s or early 1980s, when tropical and natural textures became the height of fashion in interior decoration. The set includes 1 oval smoked glass table and 4 matching chairs. The glass top is in very good condition. It rests on a curved rattan base, which is also in good condition and of suitable height. The chairs have small missing decorative leather straps. They are very stable and in good condition. Some have discolouration on the curve of the backrest. Table dimensions: height 75cm X length 160cm X width 100cm. Chair dimensions: height 90cm - seat height: 45cm X width 46cm X depth 44cm.
