Trade furniture / XXL sideboard

2.19 metres of raw solid oak, completely reimagined in the spirit of a tradesman's piece. A generously sized item, extremely robust and of very high quality, which I wanted to transform while preserving what gives it its charm: its magnificent oak and character. The sideboard has been fully sanded to restore its natural hue and reveal its superb grain. I chose to remove the original doors to visually lighten the whole piece and give it that tradesman furniture look, with large open spaces to accommodate crockery, baskets, vintage linen, books, or collected objects. In terms of details, the original handles of the 4 drawers have been replaced with beautiful cast iron cup handles, which I have lightly patinated with gold. A solid piece, very heavy and made to last over time. It will find its place in a large kitchen or dining room as well as in a shop, a guest house, or a professional space.
