Mid-Century PH5 Pendant Lamp by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen, Denmark, 1960s

This PH 5 pendant lamp was designed by Poul Henningsen for the Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen. The model was introduced in 1958 and remains one of the most recognizable icons of international lighting design and a symbol of 20th-century Danish design. The lamp is based on Poul Henningsen’s distinctive multi-shade system, developed to provide even, soft, and glare-free illumination. The carefully considered proportions of the shades effectively reduce glare, providing exceptional visual comfort. Thanks to its timeless form, the PH 5 complements Scandinavian and modernist interiors as well as contemporary spaces. The lamp is crafted from aluminium and finished in red lacquer. It is preserved in good to very good condition, showing only minimal signs of wear visible in the photographs. The wiring has been replaced with new wiring, and the lamp has been checked by an electrician, ensuring that it is fully functional and ready for use.
