Porcelain plate Compagnie des Indes Famille rose 18th century Qianlong

Magnificent Chinese export porcelain plate from the East India Company, Qianlong period (1736-1795). In the centre, a sumptuous decoration of a green vase/urn adorned with lotus and flowers, surrounded by finely painted birds, butterflies, and insects. The rim is richly decorated with a frieze of pink and blue flowers, butterflies, a blue Greek key (meander pattern), and four circular medallions depicting Chinese coins (traditional symbols of prosperity and luck). The whole is enhanced by gilding that is still well-preserved in places. The colours are vibrant and the design very detailed, characteristic of fine export pieces from this period. Overall good condition for an 18th-century piece. A small chip visible on the outer edge. A small discreet chip on the reverse, not visible from the front. No cracks, no restoration. Normal wear and patina (slight marks on the reverse, minor wear to the gilding). An authentic and decorative piece, ideal for a collection, wall decoration, or a chic vintage table.
