Textured moulded glass lampshade – 1960s-1970s

An antique lampshade made of transparent moulded glass, slightly flared cylindrical in shape, featuring a remarkable surface entirely worked in relief. The geometric and irregular decoration forms a network of vertical patterns that catch the light from all angles. The thick glass creates numerous plays of transparency and refraction when the bulb is lit. The luminous effect is particularly interesting in a room with subdued lighting. The sober silhouette and very graphic texture correspond to the decorative moulded glass productions of the second half of the 20th century. I date it to the 1960s-1970s. No markings or visible elements allow for the certain identification of a manufacturer or factory. A piece that is easy to repurpose and integrate into various decorative styles: vintage, modernist, industrial, minimalist, or eclectic. It can be used: • as a pendant; • as a table lamp, paired with an appropriate base; • as a wall light or in a customised lighting creation. The lampshade is sold with an E14 socket and a wire clamp.
