Finnish wooden stool from Finnsauna Lagerholm, 1950s

Finnish sauna stool from the 1950s made by finnsauna lagerholm. This handmade stool is made entirely of pine wood, which makes it resistant to heat and humidity. The stool was used during washing in the bathhouse before getting into the bath. The seat was designed in such a way that the water can easily drain from the chair. This is due to the sloping surface and the way the four separate parts are connected to each other by means of 2 pins. In addition to the functional aspect, the aesthetic aspect was also taken into account, making this stool, reminiscent of a celtic knot, a beautiful object in your home. This stool is in good vintage condition with signs of wear typical for its age. The wood is not cracked anywhere but does show scratches at the top.
