Small ceramic vase "lava" made by a factory in west germany in the 1960s. This type of pottery is called west germany because of its provenance. It is decorated with blue and yellow enamels and signed in hollow under the foot by the artist. This is model n°232/40. This production of german ceramics is renowned for its decorative productions playing on the effects of enamelling. This ceramic has a glaze that plays on a chemical reaction to give crystallization effects to the surface. It is characteristic of the productions of the 1960s that emphasize pastel colors and geometric shapes. The numbers correspond to the model of vase and the size of the room. Each model could exist in multiple different enamels making each ceramic a unique piece.
