Period: ca. Late 19th – early 20th century a large floor candelabra for five candles. It rests on three wrought iron legs, has a spiral turned wooden stem, a u-shaped wooden support carved with scrollwork, and five iron binets. The wood appears to be a very dark stained mahogany; it has a thick varnish. Condition: overall good. Signs of age: light oxidation on the iron in places. Small joint slot where the carved wood supports meet (see photo). The spiral rod has two splits on each side, but these appear intentional as opposed to cracking (maybe this piece of wood was reused) and are not a structural issue (see photo). Dimensions: 126 cm high, 43 cm wide at the top, 40 cm wide at the ground, 2.5 kg.
