Adorable small zoomorphic side table from Vallauris, the potters' village near Cannes that Pablo Picasso made very famous worldwide. Originally, it was a "smoker's foot, " a practical and decorative accessory, the most famous example being Georges Jouve's Bear Paw. This piece is a more recent artist's work (late 1960s, early 1970s), made of wrought iron and polychrome ceramic (very beautiful abstract work and colours). It is not signed. In excellent condition, it will make a lovely catch-all, ring holder, or plant stand with a sculptural appearance. Dimensions: H: 62 cm. W: 42 cm. D: 23 cm.
