C-1540.00 Wall appliques Lichtreliëf by Raak Amsterdam, Netherlands, 1960s.

Extremely rare set of two wall sconces lichtreliëf by Raak Amsterdam, featuring beautiful handmade glass bursts fused together into a captivating luminous relief. Behind the textured glass, two light sources create a lovely play of light and shadow, enhanced by surrounding mirror glass panels. The mirror glass plates are fixed with metal brackets and can be adjusted according to preferences, adding a customisable element to the design. Although one mirror panel shows slight tarnishing and the metal brackets exhibit some corrosion, the overall condition remains good. The lamps have been fully re-equipped with new electrical wiring and an added switch, ensuring their functionality while preserving their authentic aesthetic. Often attributed to the style of Willem van Oyen, these lamps rarely appear on the market, making this a unique opportunity to own an iconic pair of mid-century Dutch lighting design, highly collectible. Price for both lamps.
