Imposing and very old oval asparagus dish in white iron earthenware. Stamped "d. Johnston & j. Vieillard bordeaux" therefore dated between 1845-1865. Good condition for its age, no cracks or chips. Some stains (manufacturing defects) and fairly significant signs of wear - see photos. 39.5 cm long X 28.5 cm wide. 6.5 cm high. Weight: 1.3 kg.
