Each plate features six raised oyster shells arranged in a corolla around a central cavity for lemon or shallot sauce or aioli. The large dish accommodates twelve oysters. The decoration plays with a lovely fade: the water green at the edge gradually blends into the white of the shells, under a glossy glaze. Niderviller pottery stamp on the back, with the mention "Unfading decoration". 🔍 Condition: Good overall condition, with no chips or cracks. There are a few small firing spots in the glaze, original to the piece, and slight signs of use on the reverse. As antique items, small imperfections are part of their charm. "Gift: an 11th oyster plate is included with the lot.
