A unique set of three lamps by the German brand Limburg / Glashütte Limburg, dating from the 1970s. The set comprises two wall lamps and one larger ceiling lamp. The lamps are striking thanks to their distinctive, semi-circular shades made from thick, transparent textured glass. The surface of the glass has been impressively moulded into vertical, decorative ridges, which beautifully refract the light and give the lamps a unique, sculptural character. The interior of each shade is complemented by golden metal elements, which, combined with the transparent glass, create an elegant and highly decorative effect. The lamps’ form is characteristic of German design from the 1960s and 1970s – combining functionality with strong decorative appeal. The lamps will fit perfectly into both vintage and mid-century modern interiors, as well as more contemporary schemes, particularly those inspired by the Space Age style. Importantly, similar Limburg lamps with identical dimensions and construction are currently offered on the European vintage market as original Glashütte Limburg products from that period. The set comprises: 2 × wall lights – diameter 30 cm, height 20 cm. 1 × ceiling light – diameter 40 cm, height 25 cm. Material: textured glass, gold/brass-coloured metal. Origin: Germany. Manufacturer: Limburg / Glashütte Limburg. Period: 1970s. Style: vintage, Mid-Century Modern, Space Age, modernism.
