Article: This vintage ceramic set consists of a large square trivet and two matching small bottle coasters. Brand: Villeroy & Boch. Period: 1947-1956. Decor: Delicate floral friezes, roses, baroque scrolls, and gold trim. Reliefs and shapes: The two small coasters have a rounded central bowl, ideal for stabilising the base of a bottle or carafe. The large trivet offers a flat surface. Colour: Cream / Gold. Material: Extra-white fine earthenware with high resistance (beautiful appearance similar to porcelain) Condition: Very good condition, no cracks, chips, crazing, scratches, or wear to the gilding, beautiful shine. Stamp: Underneath with a green stamp "made in france-saar economic union", an economic and political union that existed from 1947 to 1956, with the Saarland choosing to join Germany. + letters S or N on the stamp depending on the piece.
