Cansado desk by Charlotte Perriand, circa 1962

Desk designed by charlotte perriand at the end of the 1950s. The rectangular top is laminated with gray melamine and rests on a black lacquered metal structure, the whole accommodates a yellow drawer marked “charlotte perriand patented sgdg”. Cansado is a mining town built in the 1960s by the société des mines de fer de mauritania “miferma” to house its staff. Part of the furniture was designed by charlotte perriand between 1959 and 1967.
