Pair of chairs by andré sornay, a cabinetmaker from lyon, a fine example of the ingenuity of the designer who was one of the pioneers of flat-pack furniture in the late 1950s. The chairs feature a straight-tailed base in solid mahogany holding a seat covered in cream bouclette and a veneer back. Edition: sornay meubles, lyon, circa 1955.
