Stoneware ball vase with drips by eugène lion in saint-amand-en-puisaye. Son of the ceramist amand lion settled in saint-amand-en-puisaye, eugène lion (1867-1945) contributed to the introduction to ceramic techniques, sculptor jean carriès, when he moved to saint-amand in 1888. In return, it is carriès who will direct the production of the potters of saint-amand towards decorative ceramics. Eugène lion will use the technique of superimposing enamels by dripping, but arranging them horizontally or obliquely and crossing them. The vase is signed under the base "lion".
