Vintage Mid-Century Ceramic "Forme Libre" Centerpiece Bowl by Vercor,

A beautiful mid-century modern ceramic centerpiece/fruit bowl crafted by the French manufacturer Vercor, dating back to the 1960s. This piece beautifully embodies the organic "forme libre" (free-form) style and artistic expression popular in the Vallauris region during this era. The bowl features a rich, glossy tortoiseshell brown glaze backdrop decorated with four hand-painted, stylized red and green floral motifs. The composition is uniquely framed by textured, lava-like white and grey drip-glaze accents. The underside bears the authentic incised "VERCOR" maker's stamp. • Condition: Very good vintage condition. Free of any chips, cracks, or repairs. Please note a tiny white dot in the glaze which is an original factory firing anomaly (glaze skip), as well as light surface scratches in the center consistent with gentle use over its 60-year lifespan. • Dimensions: Approx. 29.5 cm (11.5–12 inches) wide. • Style: Mid-Century Modern / French Art Pottery / Retro 1960s.
