Platter, or centrepiece, in fine earthenware semi-porcelain, stamped kg (Keller & Guérin) Lunéville France, with a fine "réverbère" decoration, shape L XV. Decoration of roses and tulips in bouquets and scattered flowers on a cream white background. Scalloped border, enhanced with a carmine red line. In excellent condition: no damage, not a scratch. A gem of French earthenware, both fresh and majestic, "réverbère fin" is an old decoration that traces its origins to Lunéville around 1750. Reflecting the technological innovations of the time, it marked a turning point in the history of French earthenware, inspired others (such as "Vieux Strasbourg" by Villeroy & Boch and "Marlborough" by Spode), and was produced until May 2022, the date of the definitive cessation of activities of the Lunéville & Saint-Clément kg factories. The platter offered here dates from the 1960s-70s. Dimensions: length 66.5 cm, width 25 cm.
