Art Deco Sculpture Gazelle in Faience - Saint-Clément - Emerald Green

Very elegant animal sculpture from the Art Deco period (circa 1930) in glazed earthenware. This model represents a gazelle (or antelope) in mid-leap above stylised foliage. The piece features a superb emerald green glaze, deep and luminous, characteristic of the Saint-Clément workshops. A great classic of French design from the 1930s. Manufacturer: Saint-Clément (France). Style: Art Deco, with fluid and dynamic lines. Colour: Turquoise / Emerald green with black highlights on the base. Condition: Generally in good condition. Note two small chips on the black base (see detail photos), but these do not detract from the aesthetic of the sculpted part. No cracks.
