Column bed

Column bed, or colonial, from guadeloupe, made by a cabinetmaker recognized on the spot, now deceased. The manufacture dates from about 1994. The assembly in studs and mortises, plus wooden dowels, no metal parts. In mahogany small massive leaves, a kind of local mahogany. The columns are usually used as a mosquito net support. For a box spring / mattress of 180x200 cms. Cups in the length to lay the box spring, height 44 cms. Ext dimensions: 222x191 cms, the columns at the headboard are 165 cms high, at the foot of the bed: 124 cms. The whole is varnished, in excellent condition except micro scratches of the varnish. This bed was used for a few months and then stored in a storage room. The bed is fully removable (4 columns, 4 bed bars, 1 headboard) weight about 100kg. Suitable for luxury hotels.
