Sculpture signed R. Thouret — collection "Ambiances" (plaque)

Large white sculpture carved from a single block, all curves and hollows, with a void in the centre that completely changes depending on the angle from which you view it. Truly in the spirit of Jean Arp or Henry Moore. It is signed R. THOURET and marked AMBIANCES; I have included a photo of the stamp. Robert Thouret is a sculptor from Lyon who works with bronze, plaster, wood, stone, and iron, creating both sculptures and cabinetry. I bought it at the time from a design shop in Marseille. Originally, it was a table base, and a custom tempered glass top can be made for it. The top is not included. That said, I have always kept it as is, simply placed on the floor: it stands very well on its own. Dimensions: 50 cm high, 110 cm wide, 58 cm deep. Heavy weight. Made of plaster or resin on a frame, it sounds hollow. It can be moved easily by two people. Overall good condition; I can send more photos if needed. Negotiable. To be collected in Marseille before 20 September, pick-up on site due to the size. Delivery possible via Cocolis.
