Magnificent and authentic small pitcher vase (water pot or stout jug) in vintage art ceramic (circa 1960-1970). This characterful handcrafted piece stands out with its very expressive curved silhouette and remarkable flamed glazing work. The vase is covered with a superb glossy glaze combining a deep brown-black background with rich flows of flamed enamel and frothy effects in gradients of emerald green, gray-green, and turquoise, evoking the famous modernist and brutalist productions of Vallauris or workshops from Central Europe. The decoration beautifully covers the exterior of the belly and spectacularly plunges into the inside of the flared neck. Notable characteristics: Shape: Asymmetrical stout model with a wide flattened belly, high cinched neck, and a profiled handle integrated into the line. Signature: Signed in relief directly in the clay under the base with the calligraphic number and letter 3L. Shade: Beautiful shades of flamed greens and earthy ochre-yellow contrasts under the base. Condition: Excellent original vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or restorations. The glaze has retained all its brilliance and chromatic intensity. A very beautiful piece of vintage art ceramic, ideal for completing a collection of 20th-century modernist pottery or for adding a mineral, colorful, and authentic touch to your interior decor.
