Danish boomerang desk by Peter Løvig Nielsen for Hedensted Møbelfabrik

Peter Løvig Nielsen was a Danish designer best known for his elegant and functional furniture designs. Born in 1931, his work is part of the Danish modernist tradition that thrived in the 1950s and 60s, now known as Mid Century Modern. One of his most famous designs is the exclusive teak 'Boomerang Desk'. This spacious desk is known for its unique shape, reminiscent of a boomerang, hence its name. The design is typical of Scandinavian aesthetics, featuring clean lines, organic forms, and a focus on craftsmanship. The desk is beautifully finished on all visible sides, including the back, with space for books and a storage compartment behind the drop-down door.
