This vintage executive lounge armchair was manufactured in Switzerland by De Sede during the 1970s. It is a model DS-50, the first edition of this famous chair. De Sede is regarded by many as the best quality leather furniture maker in the world. It is upholstered in thick brown cognac buffalo leather with hand stitching. Over the years, it has developed character and natural patination. It has a solid wooden frame and a very minimal, sculptural form. It features a reclining mechanism that allows you to recline the chair almost flat if you choose. You can adjust the lounge chair to any desired position for your comfort. De Sede stands for absolutely high quality and handcrafted design classics. This piece is a classic that fits into any style-conscious interior. De Sede has its origins in a small but skilled saddler's workshop in Klingnau, Switzerland. The craftsmen there dedicated themselves to transforming the best possible leather into seating furniture. Their years of experience and diligence enabled them to create handcrafted leather furniture of singular quality. In 1965, the family-run business became a joint-stock company called de Sede AG, but remained faithful to their original guiding principles. The armchair is in original vintage condition. The leather has a natural patina, fading, and discolouration. The seat is 36 cm high. The colours of the products shown in the photos may differ slightly from the actual ones. This is due to individual monitor settings and lighting conditions – the photos were taken in artificial light, which may affect the perception of colours. However, we strive to ensure that the photos reflect the actual appearance of the product as faithfully as possible. The offer may include photos of the item in a living space, but these are for illustrative purposes only.
