Axel Einar Hjorth, Birch dining table, Swedish Grace style, Bodafors, 1930s

A sumptuous dining table in the early 20th-century Swedish Grace style, made of dark birch veneer with finely carved details. The table features a richly decorated apron and legs with sculpted motifs, rounded and romantic shapes, as well as a patinated finish. Designed by Axel Einar Hjorth for Svenska Möbelfabrikerna, Bodafors, in the 1920s-30s. Supplied with two 56 cm extensions, allowing the table to be easily enlarged for large gatherings. The surface and veneer display a beautiful patina, adding depth and character. Suitable for classic, Scandinavian, modern, antique, or Art Deco interior décors.
