Rare mid-century scandinavian ceramic set, consisting of 14 pieces with different heights and shapes. 10 of which are by lillemor mannerheim (1927-1994) for upsala ekeby and 4 by stig lindberg (1916-1982) for gustavsberg. Stig lindberg's "endiv" (endive) series was designed in 1956, during the golden age of swedish ceramics. The series was made of stoneware with stylistic plant forms and black or off-white colors. Lillemor mannerheim's "mangania" series was designed in 1955, belonging to the generation of women who established themselves in the male-dominated world of design. The stoneware series was influenced by nature and animals in order to support endangered species. All pieces are glazed ceramic, in superb vintage condition and stamped. These are relatively rare and extremely sought-after pieces. Additional information and photos on request.
