Bronze chandelier, Mazarin style, 12 lights, mid-19th century.

A solid bronze chandelier in the Louis XIV style, known as the "Mazarin." It is distinguished by its 12 lights and its plant ornaments, which extend from the end of the bobeches to the suspended finial. Its richly worked central shaft and finely cast arms are divided into two levels: a first row of six short arms dominates a second row of six longer, more sophisticated arms. Each arm, with its elegant scrolls, bears witness to the work of a goldsmith, bringing a touch of elegance and refinement to the whole.
