Orientalist lithograph in a glazed gilt wood frame with a cream and blue passe-partout. This modern lithograph, aquatint, colored in bistre, after a watercolor by the Scottish David Roberts (1796-1864) and originally engraved by the Belgian Louis Haghe (1806-1885), represents Sebaste, ancient Samaria. We can see in the foreground riders on horseback, with two dogs in front and a group of characters on the left, indicating the route. And in the background hills and villages.
