Elegant Napoleon 3 mahogany and veneer sideboard

Very elegant Napoleon III period mahogany and mahogany veneer cabinet. It opens with two curved glass doors (rounded glass cutouts). The glass is surrounded by a molded mahogany strip, itself punctuated with beautiful carved wooden cartouches at the top and bottom. The two-point brass lock is original, as is the key, and works perfectly. Inside, two mahogany veneer shelves have been cut to follow the curves of the cabinet. There are old water marks (probably from bottles) on the bottom. There is also a drawer hidden just under the top, decorated with a molded strip, which is pulled out thanks to a notch provided for this purpose under the front. The curved sides stop on the uprights adorned with acanthus scythes carved in the wood. The whole thing, resting on 4 legs, is full of elegance, both very authentic and easy to combine with modern things. Veneer repairs here and there: on the back of the top (anecdotal), at the bottom of the right door or occasionally. Wear from use but it remains in very good general condition. L: 101 cm. H: 96.5 cm.
