Pair of Louis XVI style chairs in cream gray lacquered wood, oval caned medallion backrest topped with a carved ribbon knot, round caned seat, and fluted tapered legs. The two chairs are of the same model; the caning of one of the seats is a lighter shade, indicating a more recent recaning. The lacquer shows wear and small chips on the edges and at the bottom of the legs, consistent with use; the caning of the backs is intact. A light and decorative pair, suitable for placement in a bedroom, on either side of a console or at the end of a table. Seat height 45cm. Dimensions: Width: 40 cm. Height: 90 cm. Depth: 36 cm.
