Samara Wardrobe by Derk Jan de Vries, The Netherlands, 1960s

Done in the same manner as vries' samara modular collection, this wonderful piece of dutch design does very well on its own. It sports the signature beveled corners, flawless woodwork and viennese straw weave, and has been doing so for at least half a century without having aged much. It's time for us to tip our hats once again at what must surely have been an "eureka" moment for derk and which resulted in truly timeless design.
