Tunisian flat-woven Berber kilim rug, entirely handmade from pure sheep wool. It features an ecru background decorated with horizontal multicoloured bands alternating in shades of pink, black, mustard, and green. The repetitive geometric patterns—diamonds, stylised shapes, and traditional symbols—are symmetrically arranged along the entire length of the rug. The ends are finished with woven fringes. The overall design offers a tribal and authentic style, characteristic of traditional nomadic and Berber weavings. In Berber culture, the central geometric shapes have particular meanings. • They often represent protection and balance. • The diamond shape is also associated with femininity and fertility. • The interlocking shapes can symbolise the continuity of life. The rug is finished with fringes at both ends, highlighting its artisanal character. Its symmetrical and ethnic design is inspired by the kilim style, bringing authenticity and elegance to any type of interior, whether rustic, bohemian, or contemporary.
