Jumbo coffee table by Gae Aulenti produced by Knoll in Carrara marble

Designed in 1965 by Gae Aulenti, the Jumbo table is one of the most sculptural and instantly recognisable Italian design pieces of the 20th century. Produced by Knoll International, it is carved entirely from solid Carrara marble, giving it both monumental presence and refined elegance. Aulenti’s approach was architectural rather than decorative: four massive, column-like legs support a thick marble top, creating a piece that feels both ancient and modern, a timeless block of pure materiality.
