Sculptural Danish lounge chair in teak and fabric Denmark 1960

A beautifully sculptural Danish lounge chair from the 1960s, featuring a refined teak frame and distinctive organic lines. Crafted in teak, the chair is defined by its long, sweeping armrests with finely pointed ends. Slender tapered legs and shaped side rails give the frame a light appearance, while the expressive teak grain emphasizes its sculptural form. The generously proportioned seat and angled backrest provide a comfortable, relaxed seating position. Newly upholstered in De Ploeg Prairie, a softly textured woven fabric with a natural, subtly rustic appearance, it creates a warm contrast with the teak. The organic shaping, balanced proportions and refined construction are characteristic of Danish modern design from this period, combining craftsmanship with a light and sculptural appearance. Carefully cleaned, checked and treated with oil, the chair retains its original character. The seat and backrest have been newly upholstered in De Ploeg Prairie fabric. The chair is in very good condition and ready to use.
