Bénitier en faïence de Desvres, 1980

Here is an adorable font as they were found hanging near the bed in the past. A pretty celadon blue color, in earthenware by desvres, signed gabriel fourmaintraux (which we recognize by the sun stamp decorated with the initials gf). Gabriel fourmaintraux directed the family earthenware factory (in desvres in the north of france) from the 30s to the 80s, earthenware factory now a museum. A cross in relief decorates the font, and makes it an object both sober and modern. In good general condition, two slight defects visible on the photos (a hair and a very slight lack on a edge) 5 cm X 10.5 cm X h 10.5 cm.
