🟡 Dutch Design 1970s AMSTERDAMMER Pastoe cabinet, Aldo van den Nieuwelaar

Postmodern cabinet, Amsterdammer model, designed by Aldo van den Nieuwelaar and produced by Pastoe, 1978. The roller shutter cabinet, finished with plastic lacquer in “Iconic Salt, ” has playful rounded corners and a characteristic ribbed plastic shutter. This postmodern 80s cabinet has become a true Dutch Design Classic. The cabinet is marked with an original Pastoe sticker. Aldo van den Nieuwelaar (1944-2010) was an architect and industrial designer. Several of Van den Nieuwelaar’s designs are/have been included in exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art and Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. Condition: Good to very good vintage condition. The shutter works flawlessly and is undamaged. The cabinet’s plinth has minor signs of wear. There is a hole in the bottom shelf and the second shelf for cables (I believe it is original). The shelves have minor scratches from use.
