Set of three vintage mini jars in stoneware from the Gien factory. Their gently conical shape, highlighted by a warm brown frieze at the neck, evokes the French utilitarian productions of the 20th century, where everyday tableware combined robustness, simplicity, and discreet elegance. The stoneware, with a slightly nuanced sandy hue, features a beautiful natural patina and a satin interior glaze. Stamped Gien France on the base: Gien kitchen side, rarer and lesser-known, these mini stoneware jars are a testament to the factory's utilitarian production, likely made between the 1950s and 1970s, when Gien also developed robust and functional pieces for everyday use. Designed as elements of functional tableware, these mini jars naturally find their place on a table or in a kitchen, serving everyday purposes: condiment serving, small preparations, or table presentation, in a simple and authentic spirit. In good vintage condition, with slight signs of use consistent with age, and a small chip on the edge of one of the jars (see photos). Diameter 10 cm at the opening, diameter 6.5 cm at the base, height 6 cm. Ideal for a contemporary kitchen where vintage tableware takes on a central, functional, and naturally elegant role.
